LLMacro:
A Language Server for Dynare
LLMacro is a Python package that brings Dynare model checks into your editor and AI coding workflow. It checks syntax, declarations, and equation counts, and provides steady-state solving, equation residuals, and Blanchard–Kahn checks before a full model run.
Developed with Anthony Diercks at the Federal Reserve and Mehrdad Samadi at Rutgers University, the research evaluates structured language-server context across 17 error types and five canonical DSGE models.

Check models as you write. The extension adds live diagnostics, hover information, navigation, completion, model summaries, steady-state actions, and inline residuals to .mod and .inc files.
Install the Python package with the solver and MCP dependencies, then install the bundled VSIX extension in VS Code.
Give Claude structured model feedback. The plugin connects the language server and MCP tools so Claude can inspect diagnostics, make targeted edits, and re-check a model.
Install the Python package with the MCP dependencies, then add the bundled plugin. The MCP tools also support Codex and other compatible agents.
